Event Information
The Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department is hosting the annual Mother-Son Campout at Proctor Landing Park in May and September. This event is open to mothers and their sons, 13 and under.
Participants will camp alongside the beautiful Lake Allatoona while learning about camping etiquette, campfire building, knot tying, and a variety of other outdoor activities.
The event begins at 1 pm with check in and campsite set up. Dinner will be provided, as well as breakfast the following morning. The mother-son pair will be responsible for providing their own snacks and camping equipment. Not an experienced camper? No worries! They will have experienced volunteers available to assist with setting up each campsite.
Admission:
$40 mother/son Acworth resident
$50 mother/son Non-resident
