It's July and Scouting in Silver Comet is going strong! Troops are attending summer camp at Woodruff, Bert Adams and others, packs are attending weekend Cub Adventures at Bert Adams and across the Council and the country Scouts and Scouters are preparing for the National Jamboree at Summit Bechtel Reserve.
On top of all of that, we're focused on the new Scouting year. Recruiting, planning, and finding ways to grow our Scouting programs here in Cobb County. As your units plan their recruiting activities, please let your commissioner corps know how we can help! We are here to help and support you, but we can only do that if we know what you need.

Speaking of recruiting... Do you know a Scouter who is passionate about the program and might be willing to share that passion with other Troops, Packs and Crews in our district? If so, it sounds like you know an outstanding candidate to be a commissioner! Being a commissioner is a fun way to support Scouting and witness the change we are making in our community through our youth. If you would like more information, or know someone who might be a good fit, please email me at DistrictCommissioner@silvercometdistrictbsa.org
