Pickett's Mill Battlefield State Historic Site
Tucked away just west of the Silver Comet District, Pickett's Mill preserves one of the best-preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation. Unlike many battlefields that have been heavily developed, visitors can still walk the original terrain, follow wooded trails, and gain an appreciation for how the landscape influenced the battle fought here in May 1864. The park includes a visitor center, museum, interpretive exhibits, hiking trails, and picnic areas.
