2024 Silver Comet Pinewood Series

Join us at Town Center at Cobb for a morning of adrenaline-fueled racing, camaraderie, and excitement as Cub Scouts from across the District showcase their meticulously-crafted pinewood derby cars in an electrifying spectacle as these gravity-powered racers zoom down the track, their wheels blurring with speed.    Anticipation will hang in the air as each car takes its turn, the crowd roaring with every surge down the track.    

Behind each sleek and speedy car lies a story of creativity and teamwork. Cub Scouts have poured their hearts and souls into designing, constructing, and perfecting their pinewood derby cars, working alongside their adult partners in their hope to achieve racing greatness.  So, what are you waiting for? Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 9th, 2024 and join us for the thrilling return of the Silver Comet District Pinewood Derby! 

Experience the thrill of the race, witness the culmination of Scouting craftsmanship, and celebrate the spirit of Scouting.  The Silver Comet Pinewood Series is a must-attend event for all!

$10 per Scout  

Two Ways to Qualify: Packs can send their Top 3 from each rank for automatic qualification in the Pinewood Series. Walk-ins can try their luck at qualifying races before the Pinewood Series. Top 7 from each rank advance.  

Weigh-In & Impound:  Friday from 6 pm-8:30 pm

Qualifying Races: Check-in: 10 am-11am Races: 11 am-1 pm  

Pinewood Series: Check-in: 12 pm-1 pm Races: 1 pm-3 pm
