One of the biggest reasons parents hesitate to become a Cub Scout Den Leader is wondering, "Where do I even begin?" The good news is you don't have to do it alone—and now there's an added incentive to step into one of the most rewarding volunteer roles in Scouting.

The Atlanta Area Council is offering new Den Leaders a FREE official leader uniform after completing a few simple onboarding steps. It's their way of saying thank you for investing your time in helping the next generation of Scouts grow in character, confidence, and leadership.

How to Qualify

Earning your free uniform is easy! Simply complete the following steps:

  • Complete Safeguarding Youth Training.

  • Submit your Adult Leader Application.

  • Complete Den Leader Specific Training.

  • Encourage your den to attend Spooky-Ree or your pack's Fall Campout.

  • Share your excitement by posting about becoming a Den Leader on social media (if available).

  • Complete the Free Uniform Voucher form online. Once approved, you'll receive a voucher by email that can be redeemed at the Scout Shop.

Why Become a Den Leader?

As a Den Leader, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Create lifelong memories for your Scouts.

  • Build friendships with other families in your community.

  • Help youth develop confidence, leadership, and life skills.

  • Experience adventures alongside your child that they'll remember forever.

Don't worry if you've never been a Scout before. Training, resources, and experienced leaders are available every step of the way. Many of our best leaders started with no Scouting experience at all—they simply wanted to make a difference.

Ready to Get Started?

Scan the QR code on the flyer or contact your local Cub Scout Pack for more information. Complete the required steps, claim your FREE Den Leader Uniform, and join the adventure!

Your leadership can make a lasting impact on a child's life—and it all starts with saying "Yes!"
